The Name Behind Our Heritage

At TUT Textile, our name is a living tribute to Tutankhamun - the legendary King Tut, and the magnificent heritage of ancient Egypt, where the cultivation of premium cotton first flourished thousands of years ago. 

Founded by Nagwa, an Egyptian-born Sydney local, she says 

“Our brand was born out of a lifelong love for the incomparable quality and softness of authentic Egyptian cotton. Our logo draws direct inspiration from the pharaoh’s nemes: the iconic blue and gold striped royal headcloth that stood as a timeless symbol of power, authority and meticulous craftsmanship.
